I’m writing this review for anyone like me who might be looking at this and worried about ordering it. I am very cautious when ordering anything online and I almost didn’t get this because it seemed too good to be true. I finally decided to chance it and after having it for a few weeks I can say that it is a good product.
Like many people I had a Nintendo when I was a kid back in the 1980s and 1990s and I spent many hours playing all of those games so I would know if there was anything wrong with this mini. I haven’t noticed any problems with any games they are just like the originals and no problems with the controls or controllers. I will probably get the Super NES next to have all of those games.

This is the second mini system I’ve purchased. The first one was a handheld model from Amazon and it turned out to be total garbage. Even though it said it had every NES game most games were missing and the ones that it did have were unplayable garbage. Because of that experience I was very skeptical and thought twice before ordering this. I’ve played through around 30 games and so far everything has worked well. Even though I haven’t counted every single game the list of games is massive and every one I have tested is a real Nintendo game. I have also compared a few games with my original NES on my CRT and they are almost exactly the same. The colors on the mini system are slightly different but overall the graphics are almost identical. The music is the same and the controls also feel exactly like my original NES. For me this was a great buy.

This system comes with the real NES games not any cheap knockoff games like you find on other systems that claim to have every NES game.
As far as the gameplay every game plays as it should and I have not had problems with any game not working. As other reviews here mention the controls feel as they should and I like the NES controllers that come with the system. After playing this I will definitely be ordering the SNES and Genesis systems as well.

I do like this mini NES but I don't know if I really like how small it is. I wouldn’t set it up somewhere too high because I’m afraid it might fall and break. That’s my only complaint really. I do love the system overall and have enjoyed playing all of my favorite NES games. One thing I was afraid of is the controller cables were going to be way too short because I have the original mini NES and the cables are way too short but this mini has cables that are longer.

The controllers feel nice and do not have super short cables. There was a connection and startup instruction sheet included which made it quick and easy to connect and get started. All the titles I have tried so far work great, the display quality is excellent, and the audio is spot-on. My only complaint is the lack of a file structure - since the games are simply in one long list, it is not the most user-friendly interface, it needs a file structure of some kind to shortcut through the list. All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase!

I know a lot of people will probably not agree but to me video games were much better back in the day. Today’s games are just too complicated and not to mention the constant money money money the game companies want you to give them. I remember going to the store, buying a game, and playing it. That’s it. No micro transactions or any of that garbage that we have nowadays. So for me this nes is perfect especially since it has every game and authentic looking game pads.

When I ordered this system I was totally expecting to be ripped off. I thought, there is no way that this can be legit. I’ve seen other systems like this but I never trusted to buy them because of bad reviews saying the games were not like the original NES games. So as soon as I turned it on I went straight to Legend of Zelda because that is a game that I spent a lot of time playing when I was a kid back in the 80s and 90s. It is probably my favorite NES game and let me tell you, this system is exactly the same as the original cartridge. I didn’t notice any problem with anything, the graphics looked the same, the audio was the same, and the controls felt exactly the same.
I then jumped into a handful of other games including Super Mario 3, Mega Man, Contra, TMNT, and a few others. All of them held up and I had no problem with any of them. They all looked and played great. Those are also games I had as a kid and I know all of them inside and out, so if there was any difference I would be able to immediately tell. So this system and all of the games gets a big two thumbs up from me, and I look forward to playing all of these classic games.
But the best thing is, by far IMO, the ability to hook the system up and play on my old CRT TV that I’ve had since I was a kid. It really brings back a lot of great memories of playing with my brothers and sister and all of our friends. Like most kids back then we would spend entire Friday and Saturday nights playing so many of these classic games. Now I get to relive some of those great times with my own kids. I didn’t know if they would like these games at first, but they have really taken to them. My son really likes Castlevania, Double Dragon, and we’ve also been playing a lot of Contra. How cool is that?!? To be playing Contra with my 9 year old son in 2024. My daughter is more into Mario Bros. and the Mega Man games, but we’ve also been playing Bubble Bobble and she really loves that. I’ve started playing a Zelda quest and my wife is just starting StarTropic, which I didn’t even know was a thing on the NES. We both love watching each other play, which is just as fun as playing the games yourself, IMO. This system is great and I recommend it all the way around.
